Assistant Professor
Maastricht University, Work and Social Psychology department
Hi there! I am happy you found your way here.
I am Nino Gugushvili, an Assistant Professor at Maastricht University, where I work in the Work and Social Psychology department within the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience.
My research examines the psychological and societal consequences of digital technologies, with a current focus on conversational and algorithmic AI. I am specifically interested in (1) How humans interact with, connect to, and are affected by AI systems; (2) how AI mediates human-to-human relationships. Across both, I study the consequences for individual and collective trust, well-being and social cohesion.
